Canon has showcased Canon 4K, a camera with a concept that can take photos and videos in 60 frames per second at the Canon Expo 2010 event. Canon 4K will not be available to the public because it is still merely a concept but seemed to have been able to describe the future world of photography, enough to take videos, then selected again each frame, the best to be selected photos / still images.

Canon 4K has a resolution of 8MP CMOS sensor with 2/3inci size. The results achieved are very sharp video, and Canon 4K itself symbolizes four times the resolution of 1080p, for a resolution of this video is incredible. Canon 4K shape similar to a large DSLR camera in general, with LCD screens that are also used in video cameras Canon XF-300 and XF-305.

Cameras with this versatile concept is likely to be the new standard cameras and create the future fewer restrictions photos and video.

Last week, Canon has announced the midst of developing APS-H CMOS sensor with a resolution 120MP, which is claimed to be the first in the World. This time the king of Japanese cameras are the largest CMOS sensor announced in the World. The size is 40 times greater than full-frame Canon CMOS sensor current 35mm.

World’s largest CMOS sensor has a size 20.2×20.5cm. The bigger the sensor will increase the ability to capture light as well, so it seems to capture high-quality images or video in a state of super-dark night, though apparently not an issue. Canon claims the sensor is capable of taking pictures if only one hundredth of the minimum light required by a professional DSLR now, like the Canon 5D Mark II are already using fullframe 35mm sensor. This sensor can also record 60fps video at only 0.3 lux of Illumination.

Canon still has not announced when the largest CMOS sensor will be available, but at least can see the comparison images on the left, whereas right: 35mm CMOS sensor.

Fujifilm has just announced a digital camera three-dimensional (3D) named its latest FinePix W3. This series to update the latest 3D digital camera FinePix W1 beginning of last year. Same as before, this digital camera can take 3D videos easily, FinePix W3 also still uses the image sensor greetings from the previous version, for 10 MP.

Improvement lies in a new processor that is able to render 3D video in HD 720p resolution. Both lenses have been properly synchronized so that they can take the appropriate sequence of images to produce 3D effects. There are also features an automatic mode that can adjust the level of depth (parallax) 3D effect, the settings can also be performed manually. FinePix W3 can also record 2D video with the push of a button, even while recording. W3 FinePix It also can display 3D video recordings through 5.3 inch LCD autostereoscopic display without using glasses as a tool. When you feel the screen was less width, FinePix W3 also has a mini HDMI port so you can see the results of 3D video recorder via television.

Fujifilm camera production will be available in September later and sells for $ 500. Looks like a fairly competitive price for the camera technology has to offer.

But for users, particularly Canon DSLR that does not have the ability not to worry because the video recorder with a few modifications can make these cameras can record HD video, the home has a LiveView feature on the camera.
Like the video samples below were recorded by the Canon 40D by British photographer Peter Arboine with tethering cables and a special software called EOS_movrec. This software allows the camera to record video via LiveView mode, the camera must be connected to a PC via a standard USB cable (either Windows or Mac) and EOS Utility should have been previously installed.

Use of this software is quite easy, there are settings like white balance modes, buffer size (the bigger increasingly broken), the desired frames per second, until the setting to display the video preview while recording. The recorded video will be automatically formatted AVI and whenever you want to record sound can use an additional mic.
